TUF 3’s Noah Inhofer Successful in Weekend Bout

The Ultimate Fighter 3 dropout Noah Inhofer (2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was successful in his Gladiators Fighting 40 fight this past weekend, but he didn’t face former Green Bay Packers running back Whisper Goodman as was first announced.

According to a UFCjunkie.com reader who attended Saturday’s event, Goodman pulled out of the fight and was replaced by Dave Kleczkowski (4-2 MMA, 0-0), a jiu-jitsu fighter who was a state runner-up in wrestling.
Inhofer, 25, won the fight with a second-round TKO, pushing his MMA record to 2-1.

Gladiators Fighting is a Wisconsin-based fight organization.

Although Inhofer is largely known as the guy who left the Spike TV reality show because of an issue with his girlfriend (he feared she thought he had cheated on her), his impressive exhibition win on the show if often overlooked. Inhofer won a big preliminary match against Jesse Forbes with a first-round armbar in the season’s second episode.

UFC president Dana White wasn’t sympathetic with Inhofer’s situation and refused his request for a phone call. Inhofer opted to leave — two weeks before the show’s semifinal matches.

He wasn’t invited back to compete on The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale and hasn’t been a part of any other subsequent UFC events since then.
