The latest mixed-martial artist cast for the upcoming MMA movie entitled
Never Submit has been named. And it’s none other than a cast member from the first season of The Ultimate Fighter and current UFC standout Mike Swick (10-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC).
A handful of other MMA notables have already been cast for the movie, including Ken Shamrock, Josh Koscheck, Andrei Arlovski, Cung Le, Michael McDonald, Mauricio Shogun Rua and Nate Quarry. The movie stars Cam Gigandet, who played surfer Kevin Volchok in the FOX TV series,
The O.C.Swick was cast as an as-of-yet-unnamed fighter for the movie.
According to a press release from Imperial Entertainment:
“Never Submit” is an inspirational tale similar to “Rocky,” but the lead character is an intelligent young man (as are most fighters competing in this sport) rather than a beaten-down punch-drunk fighter. An amazing cast of characters will round out this film; each from different walks of life; each with his own set of circumstances and motivating factors driving him to be the best. “Never Submit” is a metaphor describing the way these athletes live their lives.
There’s no word of a definite release date for the movie.
